2021 Premier's Reading Challenge

Welcome to the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge

The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely. The Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) is open to all NSW students in Kindergarten to Year 9, in government, independent, Catholic and home schools. If you need help using the website and the answer cannot be found on the PRC Support site, please contact us at prc@det.nsw.edu.au

The Challenge has now CLOSED for 2020.
If you have student reading records that are showing as COMPLETE but have not been validated, please email the PRC team to request that these records are validated.
For any student reading records that have not been entered, or are showing as INCOMPLETE, you will need to submit a Post-Challenge Validation Application to request that these are entered and validated.

The 2021 Challenge dates are as follows:
Challenge opens: Monday March 1, 2021
Challenge closes for students: Friday August 27, 2021
Challenge closes for coordinators: Friday September 10, 2021
