Welcome to the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge
The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely.
The Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) is available for all NSW students in Kindergarten to Year 9, in government, independent, Catholic and home schools.

Author's Online Series: Sally Rippin

The NSW Premier's Reading Challenge and Dymocks Children's Charities are pleased to present award winning author Sally Rippin in conversation. To register for the June 7 event, head here (http://dartconnections.org.au/DART-excursions/nsw-premiers-reading-challenge-dymocks-childrens-charities-authors-online-series-author-tbc?Back=False).

Sally is the author the popular Billy B Mysteries as well as Hey Jack! She will share her insights into writing and how she creates her characters and plots. Students will be able to ask Sally questions about her books and life as an author.

2016 Premier's Reading Challenge

The 2016 Premier's Reading Challenge opened on the 7th March 2016. It closes on the 19th August for students and the 26th August for PRC Coordinators.

Challenge Completion certificates can be downloaded by school PRC coordinators. Coordinators must log in, go to the link Reports, School Reports then Challenge Completion Certificates. Select here for printing instructions.

Post-Challenge validation application

School principals can request the validation of one or more Student Reading Records after a Challenge has closed. More details
